We have a walker

As of yesterday Owen is officially walking. He has been taking a few steps here and there but really wasn't interested in walking much. That is until yesterday. We went to story hour at the Beaumont Library and there were plenty of kids walking around the room during playtime. Owen must have been motivated by what he saw because he decided to walk across the room and show his skills. He hasn't crawled since we returned home.

This past weekend we took Owen to Evan's Orchard with Pop-Pop, Grandma, Wyatt and the Major's family. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast playing at the farm.

We also went to Max's soccer game this weekend. He scored two goals while we were there, I am pretty impressed with my nephew's soccer skills.

 

Owen wanted to be on the field too.

Brad and I are in full training mode for our race this weekend. Owen has a cold and I feel one coming on as well. If my cold can just wait until the weekend has passed we will be in good shape.

We survived!

We survived another great year at the lake. This was our seventh year taking this trip. During college we went to Gatlinburg for Brad's fraternity formals each year with the same group of friends and have decided to continue the tradition by taking a trip to Douglas Lake, Tennessee. Here is a picture of everyone at The Point for dinner our last night at the lake.

Since we have been back we have been busy learning lots of new things.

Not quite walking without help yet, but he is soooo close! Owen has taken a few steps here and there without holding onto anything, but is not ready to go independently.

This past weekend we went to our first tailgate since moving back to Lexington. It was great to be surrounded by so much blue! Go CATS!!

Then we dropped by the church fall festival and saw these cute boys.

Brad and I are finishing up our training for the Bourbon Chase which is in two weeks. We have been taking Owen out for morning runs on the weekends. Here he is all bundled up.

Family Pictures

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Brad and I were home together with Owen for the first time all month. It was such a great weekend and we were able to get a lot of things done around the house that have been on our to do list for a while. We are still not completely settled into our house and have many more small projects to complete, but we are getting there. Once we get at least one room complete I will post pictures.

While we were visiting Columbus in July we had my good friend Melinda take some pictures of our family. Melinda is a fabulous photographer! She also took Owen's newborn pictures. Here are some of our favorite pictures from Melinda.
