"Camping"

We took our first "camping" trip earlier this month.  I say "camping" because we were in the woods and we ate food cooked on the campfire, but we did stay in a cabin with central air which is really the closest thing I will get to "camping" while we have young kids.

We went to Jellystone Park at Lake Monroe in Bloomington with some of my friends from high school and their families.  Lake Monroe is about 1 1/2 hours away from us and really close to Martinsville (the town I grew up in).  So it was the perfect destination for a weekend trip to catch up with some of my closest friends.

Here is the cabin we stayed in...

It was great!  We all had our own space and it was very nice to have a kitchen.  Our friends rented cabins right around ours, so we shared a campfire area and the kids had a little green space to play in together.  Most of the day we were exploring all the pools on the campsite.  Here is one of the three pools on site...

There was also this fun bouncing pillow...
And Yogi Bear of course...

Who would have thought a cooler full of water to play in would provide such great entertainment?!
 At the dance party...
Eating breakfast on our front porch...

 Smores anyone?!?

The boys were worn out from staying up late and catching fireflies that everyone slept very well...

But we were all ready to go home when the weekend was over...
