Hi everyone!

Owen wanted to say hi to everyone! He is learning to wave, it is oh so cute!!

Brad was out of town this weekend running the Warrior Dash in Georgia. He brought home this hat for baby Owen. You can also see some of the battle wounds on Brad's knee that he aquired from the race.

Owen is continuing to try new foods, we recently tried green beans, he was definitely not a fan.

Owen has become a great napper. He loves to sleep with his giraffe, we have a back-up giraffe just in case. Sometimes he likes to sleep with both of them.

I took a picture of our spy cam, I mean our video monitor when I realized Owen could do a new trick.

This little guy is on the move, he is ready to crawl, I would really like him to wait until we move to the new house but I don't think I will have any luck with that. We are set to close June 4th and plan to move throughout the week and be in the house by the following weekend. I am so ready for the move!

Cousin LOVE

Owen and Luke are having a bit of a love affair. Luke loved Owen since the moment he found out a baby was in my tummy. Luke loves playing with his cousin and wants to be everywhere Owen is at all times. It is the sweetest!

This little frog missed Owen so much while he was sleepnig.

 

 

Catching up on sleep

It turns out Owen has an ear infection, blah. Hopefully he gets better soon and we can be done with all of this yucky sickness. In the meantime Brad has been trying to catch up on his sleep.

We went to Indiana this weekend to celebrate the upcoming marriage of my cousin Brent and his wonderful fiancé Ashley. We had a great weekend spending time with family. Owen got a taste of being a country boy.

Sleeping schedule

Owen was consistently sleeping for 11 hours each night and I was feeling so refreshed and rested each morning. I even weaned myself off my afternoon naps, and then....another cold hit the Drapp home. We are back to waking up and nursing in the middle of the night, blah! Owen and I have had one cold after another this winter. I have had more colds this year then when I was teaching 20 kids with snot running down their noses. I really don't know what this is all about but I am so ready for cold and flu seasn to end.

Our sleep has been interupted several nights this week, not only due to Owen but because Brad and I were both having terrible toothaches. Luckily we have a dentist in the family because it just so happened that we both needed root canals.

I think we are all on track for more restful nights as soon as Owen's cold is over!!

7 months old today

Our baby is getting so big! I can't believe he is 7 months old already. I miss the days when Owen would cuddle on my chest and sleep anywhere, now he is easily distracted and nosy. He wants to see what is happening around him at all times, so sleeping on mommy is difficult for a busy baby to do. He also does not like to sleep anywhere but his crib. I can get him to sleep in the stroller and the front carrier sometimes but not without a fight.

Today we went for a walk and snapped a few pictures of out sweet baby on the way.

Our USA baby is getting ready to crawl. He gets up on his hands and knees but only for a short time before he falls and starts whining in hopes someone will save him.

 

This is Owen's baby, he sleeps with his giraffe at each nap and at bedtime. It is so cute when Owen spots his giraffe. He buries his face in it and sucks his thumb. So sweet!!

We also went to Max and Luke's soccer game this weekend. It just so happened to be during Owen's morning nap so he did a lot of this....
