It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas....

In the midst of all of our holiday celebrating, our entire family was struck by the plaque.  Not really, but it sure seemed like it.  First Owen started throwing up in the middle of the night last week.  I kept Grayson away, Brad was out of town, I cloroxed the entire house.  I thought we were in the clear, then 4 days later, I started throwing up.  While I was sick with this stomach bug (which luckily happened on a Saturday when Brad was home) Grayson was super fussy which ultimately led us to find out that he had an ear infection.  After I finally got over this sickness and Grayson started taking antibiotics which we thought would be the end of this mess, Brad called on his way to Michigan Monday to tell me that he had just pulled over to get sick.  I kid you not, minutes later Grayson started vomiting.  Prior to this terrible week we were really enjoying this holiday season with our two active little ones.  Here is glimpse into what we were up to...

First, our elf Dewey, came to stay with us for the holidays...
He made us a delicious waffle breakfast....

Then we put up our tree...

 Grayson watched, pure excitement....
Owen wants to help with EVERYTHING this year.  Even if that means breaking a few ornaments here and there....
Dewey also brought us Max and Luke's old Polar Express train, this has been a pretty exciting treat for a couple of little boys...

We went to a nice holiday brunch at Andover...

Yes I use suckers to make this child sit still after he eats so we can actually enjoy our food...

Every time we eat there Owen expects that he gets to play golf on the green with daddy because that is what we do in the summer.  It may look warm because it was sunny, but it was COLD....

Look at my dapper little dude...
We went to the Ashland tree lighting ceremony one evening...

Santa picked Owen up to wish him a Merry Christmas (this is the first year he wasn't afraid of Santa)...

But he was afraid of this... He begged to climb the trees like his big cousins but once he got up there, he wanted down right away!
 Another Santa spotting....

One of Grayson's new words is "ho, ho, ho" - when speaking about Santa...

Owen had his school pictures taken.  I asked him after school that day if he smiled for the photographer and he said no.  I think he lied...

I tried to do most of my holiday shopping online but I still had to brave the mall and some other local stores with these two little helpers...

Owen has been so into Christmas lights this year.  So we had to make a stop by this special house one evening...

We also worked on building a gingerbread house...
The boys were much more interested in eating all the pieces...

Grayson is very angry that he can't eat any more of the gingerbread house...

 Finished project...

Owen's school performance was last week pre-illness.  He was a natural on stage.  Last year he didn't sing or do any of the motions.  Actually last year I thought he was either going to cry or run off the stage at any moment.  This year, however he is a changed man.  He was oh so adorable and participated with each and every song...

Owen had his school Christmas party today....

Owen and his best buddy Molly...
 Molly and her mama...
Owen's amazing teachers got each student a Christmas book and a CD of all their favorite classroom songs.  This child loves a present....
