My Little Dinosaur is Four

Owen loves dinosaurs.  He wants to know everything there is to know about each and every dinosaur that ever existed.  So we thought what better way to celebrate this guy turning 4 but to surround him with all of his favorite dinos.  This party was very last minute, I knew I was going to make Owen a cake and invite some family over but we decided to then invite more family and some of our friends to make it a fun party.  We also made a last minute decision to celebrate our other little dinosaur who turns 2 this month as well.  That way most of our family could be here to celebrate and we could do it all at once.  Next year Grayson can have more say in the theme but this year he was happy to join in the fun!
The dinosaur cake - it was yellow cake, chocolate frosting with a chocolate ganache covering and crumbled chips ahoy cookies on top.

 Here was our spread...
Dinosaur eggs (aka donut holes)...

Dinosaur shaped peanut butter and jelly for the kiddos...

Pulled pork bbq for the carnivores....
Beer and wine for the adults of course...

 Non-alcoholic drinks...
Favor bags full of dinosaur gummies and little dinosaur figures...
It ended up being a cold and rainy day so unfortunately our plans to be outside had to be brought indoors.  We had a bounce house in the basement.  A sand table so the kids could dig for sand in our screened in porch....

And a little activity table for the kiddos...

The football game set up in the garage on our projector....

It was a little chaotic because we were indoors, I am disappointed I didn't get more pictures of the kids and everyone at the party....

Here is one of our birthday boys...

For the boys real birthday celebration we waited until everyone went home and gave them their present on Owen's real birthday.  Here is what they received...

Do you notice a theme??  We are going to Disney World in a few weeks.  We may be regretting our choice to bring these two crazy boys but we have been wanting to take a trip and this is where we decided to go.  Wish us luck and stay tuned for blog posts about our travels!
