My friend Addy and her daughter Michal came to visit us for a few days.
But by the end they became good friends.
After we put the babies to bed Addy and I got to spend the evening out while Brad stayed home to babysit. It was so much fun having you guys in town! We miss you both so much!!
Now on to 4th of July fun! We spent the morning at a friend's house sipping mimosas and watching the 10k runners go by for the bluegrass 10,000. I was supposed to run it with a group of girls but it was sooo hot and humid that we deicded cold mimosas sounded much better.
After Owen's nap we headed down for our neighborhood block party. We were amazed by how many people came. The organizers said last year there were easily 500 people and this year they were expecting more.
There was a band.
And bounce houses
And lots of good food
We did a family fun run with the Major's at West Sixth Brewery.
We played in the backyard a bit (the grass is much greener now, thanks to the rain)
We went on weekly morning runs with Alexis, Ellie and their mommies.
We took many naps
We even made it out to Talon Winery for some free live music and wine
We played at the pool a bit this summer but definitely not enough.
Daddy and Owen watched a lot of Reds games. Go Joey Votto (or maybe he is hurt this season) obviously I haven't been watching.
We have a lot of fun things in store for August, so stay tuned!
