Goodbye Summer.....Hello Fall....

We said goodbye to the pool several weeks ago.  We had so much fun there this summer, it was a little sad knowing that we have to wait an entire year before we can go back...

Goodbye pool...

Goodbye popsicles....
Goodbye evening bike rides...

We have already had a very busy start to the fall - this is what we have been up to...

Owen started taking swim lessons at Transylvania University.  It was his first lesson without me in the water.  Owen literally flipped his lid when we tried to get him in the water with a complete stranger.  It took a good 20 minutes and the swim coach having a little pep talk to get him to put his feet in the water.  Luckily our neighborhood friend, Claire aka: Kiki, was in his swim group because otherwise he may have never gotten in the pool.  After the first day it was smooth sailing and he did great!  By the end of the lesson he was laying on his back in the water and putting his face in.

Owen's swim teacher Miss Anna, we call her the toddler whisperer - Owen loved her!!

It was a bit of a handful having a mobile baby at the pool.  He did not want to be stuck in a stroller and as soon as I got him out wanted to crawl right to the water....

It's football season here at the Drapp house - Go Browns!!

Check out Owen's Browns Cape...

We also started our first year of soccer.  They call this 3 year old soccer league a clinic because they don't actually play a game but they learn the rules of the game.  It is ABSOLUTELY THE CUTEST THING EVER!!  Owen is on a team with 8 of his friends.  There is only one person on the team we don't know.  We have the best time with all of our friends at the soccer field Saturday mornings.  Get ready for cuteness overload...

We went to the apple orchard for the first time this season...

Grayson can't get enough of the apples....

Grayson ate his first apple cider doughnut...

We went to the zoo for the last time with Nena this year...

Pop-Pop and MeeMaw came down so Brad and I could go to a friend's wedding in Louisville and stay overnight.  We had so much fun spending time with all of our college friends.  It was like a big reunion.  So many of our close friends were there and people we hadn't seen since we graduated.
Here are some fun pictures from the evening....
Eddie and Pipes serenaded the crowd with their rendition of Dixieland Delight - It isn't a wedding without these two singing this song...

Apparently I was having a good time...

 Love my girl Lisa!
The groom giving his late night speech to all of us well past the end of the wedding and my bedtime...

We went to dinner with the neighbors last week and actually had a relaxing meal for the first time ever with kids.  We sat the kids at a separate table and had adult conversation, it was amazing...

Afterwards we went to the putting green outside of the restaurant and let the kids run free...
Grayson is SO close to walking - he has taken a couple of small steps this week but nothing more than that before he stops himself or drops to the ground.  He is pretty steady on his feet so it won't be long....

 Look at that big belly....
That sums up our fall so far, and it has only just begun.  I am looking forward to the cooler weather, opening our windows, lighting some pumpkin candles and enjoying some special times with our family and friends!
